***In light of the continued development of the COVID-19 pandemic and in particular in the Mayotte island, we are constrained to postpone the symposium to 2021. We are hoping to postpone until October 2021 but will confirm dates later this year. We will get in touch with authors having already submitted an abstract and a new call for abstract will be organised later on. Thank you for your understanding and keep safe.****
In order to submit an abstract on the conference website (submissions > submission), please note that you must register first on the website :
· If you already have an account on the sciencesconf.org platform or on HAL, click on the "login" button and enter your ID and password
· If you do not have an account, click the arrow of the dropdown menu by the "login" button and choose "create an account"
Abstracts are invited for oral or poster presentations contributing to a specific theme. Abstracts must be written in English, which is also the official language of the symposium. The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Submitted abstracts must clearly state the theme towards which the abstract is intended and the preferred mode of presentation (oral or poster).
We aim to promote interdisciplinary work as much as possible. As such, we offer the opportunity to speakers from different disciplines contributing to either theme 1 or 2 to contribute a single abstract tailored for a longer oral presentation in order to highlight holistic approaches from a common project.
The abstract should be submitted in plain text only, without the inclusion of tables, graphs, images, references, etc. All abstracts will be reviewed for merit and relevance. Abstracts must be submitted online by no later than 17th April 2020. Confirmation of acceptance for oral or poster as well as joint presentations will be communicated to authors by 25th May 2020.
Financial assistance
A limited number of travel grants will be provided to student participants whose abstracts have been accepted. Depending on how abstracts have been ranked, support will be in the form of a return ticket, accommodation, or both. Argued applications for the travel grants should motivate need for financial support, indicating details of the support required, and should be submitted by 17th May 2020 to mangSES@univ-mayotte.fr. Please specify the title of your abstract in your email.
